Know more about all the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine (ingredients, side effect and how it work) Part 4
This
is my fourth blog on COVID19
vaccine. In this one, I will give you more information about Janssen
COVID-19 vaccine.
The
Janssen COVID-19 vaccine (Ad26.COV2.S) is use to prevent COVID-19. This disease
is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).The
vaccine is approved for people who are 18 years of age and older. Its safety
and effectiveness in people younger than 18 years of age have not yet been
establish. Health Canada authorized this vaccine with conditions on March 5,
2021, under the interim order respecting the importation, sale and advertising
of drugs for use in relation to COVID-19.
Ingredients
Medicinal

How it works
Viral
vector-based vaccines use a harmless virus, such as an adenovirus, as a
delivery system. This “vector” virus is not the virus that causes COVID-19.
Adenoviruses are among the viruses that can cause the common cold. There are
many different types of adenoviruses, and many have been used as delivery
systems for other vector-based vaccines for decades.
When
a person is given the vaccine, the vector virus contained within the vaccine
produces the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, which is found on the surface of the
virus that causes COVID-19. This rotein will not make you sick. It does its job
and goes away.
Through
this process, the body is able to build a strong immune response against the
spike protein without exposing you to the virus that causes COVID-19.
How it’s given
A
single 0.5mL dose of the vaccine is given by injection into the muscle of the
arm.
Based
on studies in about 43,000 participants, the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine was 66%
effective in preventing symptomatic COVID-19 disease beginning 2 weeks after
vaccination. Immunity develops over time. You won’t develop significant
protection against COVID-19 for at least 2 weeks.
Possible side effects
In
general, the side effects observed during the clinical trials are similar to
what you might have with other vaccines. The side effects that followed vaccine
administration in clinical trials were mild or moderate. They included things
like pain at the site of injection, body chills, feeling tired and feeling
feverish.
These
are common side effects of vaccines and do not pose a risk to health.
As
with all vaccines, there’s a chance that there will be a serious side effect,
but these are rare. A serious side effect might be something like an allergic
reaction. Speak with your health professional about any serious allergies or
other health conditions you may have before you receive this vaccine.
Health
Canada has conducted a rigorous scientific review of the available medical
evidence to assess the safety of the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine. No major safety
concerns have been identified in the data that we reviewed
How to Give a Gift of Love to your Father without spending any money
Free Father days Gift ideas
History of Father Day
lady by the name of Sonora Smart Dodd. She was sitting in church listening to a sermon dedicated to Mother’s Day when she thought of the great idea. This young lady was actually raised by her father, who was a veteran of the Civil War, after her mother had passed while giving birth to their sixth child. She began to think about all that her father had done for her and the family over the years and realized how special to her that her father really was. Even through all of the hardships and doubts he was able to raise all the children by himself. She also came to realize that he was actually a very dedicated, generous, and loving man that had never asked for anything in return. Because of the fact that her dad's birthday was actually in June Mrs. Dodd decided to hold the very first Father’s Day June 19, 1910.
However, it was originally intended for June fifth, which was her father's actual birthday but, she did not have enough time to prepare the festivities. There are other people in the US that actually credit Mrs. Charles Clayton of West Virginia and not Mrs. Dodd for the idea of Father’s day. However, even today most history books still give the credit to Mrs. Dodd.

Know more about all the Moderna COVID19 Vaccine (ingredients, side effect and how it work)
This is my first
blog on COVID19 vaccine. In this one, I will give you more information about Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
The Moderna COVID-19
vaccine (mRNA-1273) is use to prevent COVID-19. This disease is cause by severe
acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
The
vaccine is approved for people who are 18 years of age and older. Its safety
and effectiveness in people younger than 18 years of age have not yet been
established.
Health
Canada authorized this vaccine with conditions on December 23, 2020, under the Interim
Order Respecting the Importation, Sale and Advertising of Drugs for Use in
Relation to COVID-19.
Find
detailed technical information about the Moderna vaccine, such as the product
monograph and our regulatory decision summary, in the COVID-19 vaccines
and treatments regulatory portal.
What
is inside the vaccine?
Ingredients
Medicinal ingredient-mRNA
Non-medicinal ingredients
·
1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DSPC)
·
acetic acid
·
cholesterol
·
lipid SM-102
·
polyethylene glycol (PEG) 2000 DMG
·
sodium acetate
·
sucrose
·
tromethamine
·
tromethamine hydrochloride water for injection
How it works
mRNA vaccines teach our cells how to make a protein that will
trigger an immune response without using the live virus that causes COVID-19.
Once triggered, our body then makes antibodies. These antibodies help us fight
the infection if the real virus does enter our body in the future.
‘RNA’ stands for ribonucleic acid, which is a molecule that
provides cells with instructions for making proteins. Messenger RNA (mRNA)
vaccines contain the genetic instructions for making the SARS-CoV-2 spike
protein, which is found on the surface of the virus that causes COVID-19.
When a person vaccine the vaccine is given, their cells will
read the genetic instructions like a recipe and produce the spike protein.
After the protein piece is made, the cell breaks down the instructions and gets
rid of them.
The cell then displays the protein piece on its surface. Our
immune system recognizes that the protein does not belong there and begins
building an immune response and making antibodies.
How it is given
The vaccine is given by an injection (0.5 mL) into the muscle of
the arm. For the vaccine to work best, you need to get 2 doses: a single dose
and then a second dose one month apart.
Immunity develops over time. It takes about 2 weeks to develop
significant protection against COVID-19. For the greatest protection, you will
need the second dose.
Based on studies in about 30,000 participants, the Moderna
COVID-19 vaccine was 94.1% effective in preventing COVID-19 beginning 2 weeks
after the second dose.
Possible side effects
In general, the side effects observed during the clinical trials
are similar to what you might have with other vaccines.
The side effects that followed vaccine administration in
clinical trials were mild or moderate. They included things like pain at the
site of injection, body chills, feeling tired and feeling feverish.
These are common side effects of vaccines and do not pose a risk
to health.
As with all vaccines, there is a chance that there will be a
serious side effect, but these are rare. A serious side effect might be
something like an allergic reaction. Speak with your health professional about
any serious allergies or other health conditions you may have before you
receive this vaccine.

Save money with Home Made Weeds Killer for your green lawn (New)
Cheap and Home Made Weeds Killer
1. Homemade Vinegar mix for weeds
2. Liquid Dish Detergent
3. Boiling Water
4. Lemon Juice
5. Corn Gluten Meal (this is different than corn meal)
Some other Tips for Weed Control
- Many natural remedies and weed killer products will not only kill weeds dead, but they may also kill surrounding grass, plants and flowers. When using a recipe, make sure to apply to the weed only (keep in mind that liquids will saturate and seep into the ground where roots from favoured plants may be able to reach).
- Use weed killers when there’s no sign of rain for at least a day or two, hot sunny weather will give you best results.
- For weed control in gardens and flower beds, consider laying newspapers and mulch in and around your plants–the weeds will have a difficult time rooting and spreading.
- Weed growth is greatly reduced when using the “No Dig” method of gardening The idea is to make a foundation of compost/mulch then only use soil where you plant (make a hole in the mulch, stick a handful or two of dirt inside then plant the seedling).
- Did you know: Many weeds are used in home remedies for all sorts of things and some are even edible and tasty! For example, dandelions can be used to make a delicious syrup, wine or jelly, while plantains can be crushed and used to reduce itching from mosquito bites or relieve pain from bee stings. Take some time to research the weeds in your area and you may find some pretty clever ways to make them useful–you may just decide to let a few weeds live and flourish in certain parts of your yard.
